Ifeoma making Nigeria proud

Every other year, there seems to be a Nigerian who accomplishes the impossible in American education.

This year, it is 17-year-old Ifeoma White-Thorpe, who has just been admitted into all eight American Ivy League universities.

Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University all belong to an elite group of schools that are seen at the gold standard for education in the US and are referred to as the Ivy League.

Here’s five things about the brilliant teenager you should know.

1. In addition to these eight schools, she also was accepted at Stanford University

Augusta achieved same feat in 2016

In 2016, fellow Nigerian, Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna did the same. She chose Harvard eventually.

5. She hopes to become a cardiologist in the future

And who wants to bet against her realising this?
