"Yes, there's some personal experience in it. But, the story is very common actually," said Osiberu.

"There are a number of women who are in their 30s or approaching their 30s that are not married and this is the sort of pressure that they face."

"It's not unique to me. I'm not the only one with the experience. I think especially when it seems like the other part of your life is balancing out and  you're doing well in your career - what's the next step? You need to get married and have children."

As Bolanle (Olukunni) has said, everybody's part is different. Be yourself. "

She also spoke about why she chose to tell the story of a Benin family.

"I'm Yoruba, Jade Osiberu, but I have always been curious about the Edo culture. I have a friend from Edo, we have been friends since I was 19."

"And so when I decided to make this film, It was very important for me not to make a Yoruba film as well."

"I will like to be seen as a filmmake before anything else, I will like to tell stories of Africans in general, not even just Nigeria."

"So, it was important to go outside my own experience and tell a story that's Nigerian. I hope "Isoken" has done that."
