Iyabo Ojo

Following reports that Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, made a demand for the re-arrest of controversial blogger, Kemi Olunloyo, the actress has come out to refute the claims.

Olunloyo was remanded in a Port-Harcourt prison for publishing materials believed to have defamed the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

Immediately reports that a Magistrate Court had granted her bail filtered through, Olunloyo was re-arrested, an incident which was reportedly orchestrated by Iyabo Ojo.

Denying the claims however, Thenetng gathered through a statement released by her lawyer, Barrister Frank, saying, ‘This is to notify the general public that Iyabo Ojo did not write any petition against Mrs Kemi Olunloyo.

‘The purported publication which is premised on a witness statement allegedly signed by her was endorsed in the belief that she was a witness to an event, which is totally unrelated to the petition.

‘Thus, her name has been maliciously dragged into this. We therefore implore the general public to disregard the content of the said publication.’

About two weeks ago, Olunloyo claimed she was arrested because she posted a letter sent to her by a member of the pastor’s church.

The arrest took place in Ibadan, from where she was driven to Port-Harcourt according to the blogger.
